Desvalini Anwar, S.S, M.Hum, Ph.D, is an accomplished academic from Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP), with a diverse background in English language and literature. Holding a Ph.D. from Deakin University since 2016, she has served as the Head of the English Language and Literature Department and the Head of the English Literature Study Program. With a passion for teaching, Desvalini’s focus areas include Introduction to Literature, Basic Prose, Literary Criticism, Literary Research Methodology, Seminar on Literature, Australian Literature, and Cross-Cultural Understanding. She is also an active researcher. Her research interests span various topics within literature and cultural studies, contributing valuable insights to academia. Some of her research endeavors delve into areas such as postcolonial literature, feminist literary criticism, cultural identity in literature, and the intersection of literature with social and political issues. Through her scholarly work, Desvalini continues to broaden our understanding of literature’s role in shaping identities, fostering cross-cultural dialogue, and addressing contemporary challenges.
