Rifki Oktoviandry, S.Pd.,M.Hum is a junior lecturer at English Language Literature Program of English Language and Literature Department FBS Universitas Negeri Padang, Indonesia (2018 – now). He completed his undergraduate degree in English Language Education Program, Universitas Negeri Padang (2013) and Master of Humanities, University of Indonesia (2017). He teaches several subjects related to Linguistics and Language Teaching such as Introduction to Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Semantics and Pragmatics, Psycholinguistics, General English, ICT for Language Teaching, English Proficiency, Listening, Reading and so on. As an educator, he believes that learning is a long-life journey. He keeps updating his expertise and knowledge by becoming a member of Masyarakat Linguistik Indonesia (MLI) and Pendekar Millealab ( a community that promotes the using of Virtual Reality in education) .
Outside of teaching, Rifki is active in research and writing. He has conducted studies on topics such as vocabulary learning strategies and students’ English proficiency. His research projects have been funded by PNBP (Public Service Agency Revenue). Additionally, Rifki has authored a book titled “Stop Belajar Bahasa Inggris Sekarang Juga!” (Stop Learning English Now!), which aims to encourage language learners.
