PADANG – Faculty of Language and Arts, State University of Padang held a Workshop on the Preparation of RPS Based on Outcomes Based Education (OBE) which was held offline and online. The workshop which was attended by lecturers was held offline on Thursday (10/8) at the FBS UNP courtroom, Padang Freshwater Campus and online via zoom meeting.
On that health, the Dean of the Faculty of Language and Arts, Padang State University in his speech expressed his gratitude to the resource person Prof. Dr. Zuliati Rohmah, M.Pd. lecturer at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Brawijaya University, Malang.
“This RPS Workshop activity is very important to be followed by lecturers in the framework of developing RPS for each course for the July-December 2023 semester lectures which will start on August 28, 2023,” added Prof. Ermanto.
On that occasion, Prof. Ermanto conveyed and expected that teaching staff need to develop RPS courses that are taught in accordance with the needs and advances of digital science and technology in the present and the future.
Furthermore, Dean Prof. Dr. Ermanto, S.Pd., M.Hum. also said that the RPS developed must also be in accordance with the needs of achieving Key Performance Indicators from each study program.
On that occasion, the resource person Prof. Dr. Zuliati Rohmah, M.Pd. said that the preparation of RPS actually starts from the desired outcomes so that the learning process and activities must realize the end point, namely these outcomes.
“For this reason, identify graduate learning outcomes (CPL) into course learning outcomes (CPMK) and SubCPMK by analyzing student learning needs according to the context, formulating learning outcomes and indicators,” added Prof. Dr. Zuliati Rohmah, M.Pd.
In addition, Prof. Zuliati Rohmah also needs to develop forms, methods, learning strategies and further develop learning materials and learning media by paying attention to the learning environment. (ET)
