Padang, West Sumatra – The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia successfully organized the Workshop FESBUL Lokus 9: Passion, Roots, Movement in Padang from September 20-22, 2024. The event brought together talented young creators from Lokus 9, which includes the regions of Aceh, North Sumatra, South Sumatra, Riau, Riau Islands, and West Sumatra.
Three students from the English Literature Program—Difa Rosa Mahdyyah, Emi Febriani, and Ananda Salsabila—were selected to represent the Lokus 9 community. These students had the opportunity to participate in an intensive series of workshops focused on scriptwriting, directing, and production management, led by three expert mentors: M Reza Fahriyansyah, Andrea Nirmala Widjajanto, and John Badalu.
In addition to the workshops, the participants engaged in individual mentoring sessions with the mentors, offering them direct guidance tailored to their interests and creative projects. This workshop is part of the link and match program from the Creative Industries course taught in the English Literature Program at Universitas Negeri Padang.
The event is expected to inspire participants to further develop their creativity and contribute to the nation’s creative industry. (HY)
