Padang – ELSP lecturers from the Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS) UNP attended a final project workshop on Friday, (7/ 2/2025),in the English Department’s meeting room at FBS UNP. This workshop was a follow-up to the rector’s regulations regarding student final projects.
Dr. Havid Ardi, S.Pd, M.Hum, the speaker who is also the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at FBS UNP, presented the latest rector’s regulations related to student final projects. He conveyed that there are now other options besides a thesis for students’ final projects.
In this meeting, each study program presented the types of final projects that can be given to students in addition to writing a thesis. Some of these include writing film scripts, creating English-related applications, writing books, scientific articles, and others. This is done so that English Literature students have many choices in completing their final projects besides a thesis. (RY)
