The English Language and Literature Department at Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) conducted a Curriculum Relaxation Workshop on October 28-29, 2024, at the UNP Guest House in Lubuk Minturun. This workshop was aimed at evaluating and enhancing the department’s curriculum to better align with evolving educational standards and student needs.
Dr. Yuli Tiarina, Head of the Department, emphasized the importance of these ongoing curriculum reviews. “We recognize the need to ensure our programs stay relevant and supportive of both academic and practical growth for our students. This workshop is a valuable step toward achieving that goal,” she said.
During the two-day workshop, faculty members engaged in discussions on curriculum adaptation, focusing on how best to integrate new teaching methodologies and relevant skills for today’s dynamic job market. The initiative reflects the department’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation in foreign language and literature education. (HY)
