The English Language and Literature Study Program (ELSP) at Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) proudly welcomed an international faculty member, Zhyldyz Tunguchbaevna Takenova from Arabaev Kyrgyz State University.
Ms. Takenova taught Academic Writing in class NK-1 through several tandem teaching sessions with UNP’s very own faculty member, Dian Safitri, S.Pd., M.Pd. This collaboration not only enriched the learning experience for students but also fostered cross-cultural academic exchange.
The tandem teaching sessions emphasized dynamic approaches to academic writing, integrating international perspectives with the expertise of ELSP lecturers. This initiative aligns with UNP’s commitment to enhancing global academic standards and providing students with exposure to international teaching methodologies.
Students expressed their excitement and appreciation for the opportunity to learn directly from an international faculty member, which broadened their academic insights and cultural understanding.
