The PPK Ormawa team from Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP), led by Risya Iqlima Syahrul from the English Literature program and supervised by Delvi Wahyuni, S.S., M.A., an English Literature lecturer, has commenced its SIPASAN (Sikola Padusi Santiang) program. The initiative, titled “Upaya Peningkatan Kapasitas Kaum Perempuan Nagari Tigo Koto Silungkang melalui Workshop Life and Soft Skills,” aims to enhance the capacities of women in the Nagari Tigo Koto Silungkang community.
The program targets women in the Nagari Tigo Koto Silungkang community and consists of three main components: entrepreneurship, life skills, and soft skills. The entrepreneurship module will be conducted over eight sessions, focusing on empowering women with business skills. The life skills component will include parenting workshops to improve family management skills. The soft skills segment includes public speaking, leadership, and political engagement training, spread across 16 sessions.
According to Risya, the activities began on July 11. Besides Risya, 15 other UNP students are involved in the program, four of them are also from the English Literature program: Prisha Aulia, Muhammad Aprido Putra, Yayang Dwi Sakinah, and Nurfadila. This dedicated team is committed to providing valuable skills and knowledge to the women in the community, aiming to foster their growth and development in various aspects of life. ( HY)
