On April 19th, a significant event took place at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Languages and Arts. The gathering was attended by faculty members, educational staff, and retired lecturers from the English Language and Literature Department.
The event started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and a prayer. During this occasion, the Department’s Chairperson, Dr. Yuli Tiarina, S.Pd., M.Pd., emphasized that the purpose of the event was to strengthen bonds and foster camaraderie within the department’s family.
An opening word was also given by Drs. Saunir, M.Pd. representing retired lecturers. This event brings back memories of the past for retired lecturers and this is a very positive thing. “We are very happy about this invitation,” he continued.
A religious lecture was also delivered by one of the lecturers at the Department of English Language and Literature, Dr. Jufri., M.Pd. about the importance of building relationships. “One way to establish friendship is by fulfilling an invitation,” he said.
This gathering served as a platform for faculty members, educational staff, and retired lecturers to come together, share experiences, and celebrate the unity that defines them as a collective entity. The event underscored the importance of maintaining connections and supporting one another within the academic community.
